Second Harvest of the Greater Valley Hosts Fall Fundraisers to Support Our Neighbors in Need This Holiday Season

Manteca, CA – Second Harvest of the Greater Valley is excited to announce the return of our fall fundraiser, Turkeyokey, on Friday, November 15, 2024! We invite our community to come together for an evening filled with karaoke, delicious food, and shared spirit to help provide holiday meals for our neighbors in need.

This year’s Turkeyokey event will directly benefit the Turkeys R Us Program, a community initiative founded over 25 years ago by dedicated real estate agents who recognized a need for holiday meals among local seniors and families. Turkeys R Us has become a core part of SHGV’s mission, helping distribute over 7,000 turkeys annually to food pantry partners and community events hosted by organizations such as Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs.

With your help, our 2024 goal is to provide 7,000 neighbors across San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties with a holiday meal. Although we have received many generous donations, we are still 400 turkeys short of our target. With continued support from the community, we believe we can meet this goal together!

In addition to Turkeyokey, SHGV’s Turkeys R Us monetary campaign will run from November 1 through December 31, inviting community contributions to support this essential program throughout the holiday season.
