Silver Harvest Program
About The Silver Harvest Program
Nearing its fiftieth year, the Silver Harvest program has been a crucial support system, providing supplemental groceries to at-risk seniors throughout San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties. Many of these seniors live on limited incomes, often forcing them to cut back on essential needs, including healthy food. To promote healthy living, the Silver Harvest program ensures that seniors receive 15-18 pounds of supplemental groceries twice a month, including 6 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables. Seniors can sign up for the program at locations close to their homes. Partnered sites work with dedicated volunteers to pack and distribute the groceries.
